The Gypsy Caravan

OK. Blogging. This is somewhat new for me... I'm never sure about it, but here I am none the less. I've been spending the weekends on the road setting up at various comic book and collectibles shows. Let me tell you, driving around Jersey (and New York City) hasn't always been the most fun, but the events themselves have been. Not only am I getting a chance to show off my paintings of robots and monsters and heroes, but I am also getting to meet some wonderful people that have had kind words to say about them. In addition, the dealers on "the circuit" have been kind and helpful as are the promoters. It's an interesting community of individuals that wander from here to there, set up their tent with their snake oil for a day, and then move on. I just hope I don't run into Maria Ouspenskya and her son Bela... I'm hairy enough. Bonus points if you get that.

Last weekend I was interviewed by the Asbury Park Press and I'm keeping an eye on their website to see what got written! That's exciting. Next weekend its back to Jersey... a show in Newark. More ugly highway driving, but the destination should be worth the trip.
